Most Common Ways to Make Money with Your Website.

Making money from your website isn’t a myth. It’s doable by anyone.
In fact – turning a part-time, hobby blog or website into an income-generating asset is fairly common with a bit of luck and some hard work.
At the very least, you should be able to make enough to cover your basic expenses for a domain and hosting. You might even be able to replace your income (and then earn some more).
Keep in mind that the strategies listed below range from easy and passive, to the ones which require a TON of on-going work.

How to build a Website and gets traffic
If you don't have a ton of traffic coming to your website or WordPress blog right now, I want to spend a little bit of time explaining how you can actually get some of that traffic…so you can then make money from your website or blog.
This article isn't meant to be a complete step by step guide for building a site, but more of a general overview.
How to get traffic to your website.  I'll cover 4 main areas for traffic: search engines, social media, paid traffic, and direct sources.

But don’t chase them all at once! I strongly suggest picking one or two from this list that resonate with you and your website – and really focusing on them first.

Create Great Content
So now that you have built your website you are ready to create some website posts for your readers.
Make sure your posts are: Well formatted and look good with relevant images. Are in-depth and entertaining. Offer links to other posts to expand on points.

When you have a large group of fans interested in what you have to say, the money will come. Trust me on that. The hard part is finding and gathering your fans. Promote your web site. No matter how great your articles are no one is going to know about them unless you take time to promote your website.

I know enough about SEO to probably be wrong about a lot of it. I could probably write a series of articles on SEO tactics I have learned over the years but as I am not an expert I’ll point you in the right direction to some good articles on the subject:

P.S. SEO is not dead, it’s one of the best traffic sources for people who will buy your products/services or sign up to your email lists. SEO is a lot harder than it once was but don’t ignore it.

 Make Money with Your Website

How to make money from a website

1. Affiliate promotion
  Make money with affiliate links
Being an affiliate means you promote a product or service to your website visitors in return for earning a commission if a purchase occurs through your link.

2 Google Adsense
Did you know that Google is the number one marketing platform in the world with more than $502 billion in capitalization? Wouldn’t it be nice to get a slice of that pie?
Perhaps one of the most popular systems to make money with your blog or website is Google Adsense. In this platform, you’re showing ads for other companies on your pages and posts.
It’s an easy to use system that is virtually plug and play. The only real drawback is that you don’t have a lot of control over what is delivered onto your site in terms of advertisements.
Google will give you the code to copy-and-paste into any area you can place text on your site. Once someone clicks on the ad, you make money. Some ads will credit you a small amount simply by showing it.
 It’s literally that easy.

 3. Private Ad Space
Many site owners will offer private ad space on their site for a monthly fee. Essentially, you’ll charge an advertiser to put a banner or graphic on your site regardless if someone clicks it or not.
One of the reasons why many people like this method is because there is nothing to track outside of displays and perhaps clicks. All you need is space on your site for the advertisement and to collect a monthly fee. This is a common practice for those who support other local companies in their area. Perhaps you can convince those businesses to advertise on your site as well.

 4. Sell Your Service
The easiest way to get started making money online is to sell your services. Think about what you love doing, what you’re good at, and what's missing from your industry. The perfect service will be at the intersection of those three criteria.
For example, do you have an excellent attention to detail and love organizing things? Then offering your services as a virtual assistant for small business owners could be the perfect way to monetize your site.

5. Sell Works of Art or Hand-Made Products
If you love art and are good at it, you can sell your artwork directly from your website. This includes handmade products such as jewelry, paintings, wood-carvings, knitted or sewn products, calligraphy or hand-lettering prints, and more.

6. Create a Membership Site
If you’re passionate about a particular topic and have a lot of knowledge to share, you could create a membership site around. For example, if you’re passionate about yoga and know all about yoga exercises, lifestyle, and benefits, you can create a membership where members pay for exclusive content and yoga exercise programs.

7. Create an App or Software
An app or a software takes a lot of work upfront and regular maintenance after it’s released but if your app solves a common cause of frustration, you’ll reap the benefits for years to come according to an article from NicePursuits.
The best part about creating an app or a software is that you don’t have to have coding or programming knowledge—only the right idea. You can outsource the actual programming to an experienced developer.

8. Offer Consulting
Another way to make money is to offer paid consulting, either as a one-time service or an ongoing consulting over the course of a few months. If you’re knowledgeable on a particular topic, you can present and sell that to people who are looking to improve in that area. This can include life or business coaching but also tutoring in school subjects or consulting in various business areas such as marketing, systems, public speaking, and more.

9. Create a Directory Website
Similarly to a membership site, you can create a directory website that lists information about other websites, places, or resources for a particular industry. This can include a list of local businesses or businesses in a specific industry, a directory of must-see tourist locations, restaurants, and similar. It can also be a directory of niche-specific resources, blogs, tools, and websites.
The way to monetize the website is to charge visitors to submit their link or information. You can even offer different tiers where a higher price gives perks such as featured listing or longer duration.

10. Create a Drop Shipping Website
You can create a drop shipping website. A drop shipping website allows you to sell products from other websites like Amazon or AliExpress on your site and make a profit from the marked-up price. Alternatively, you can use other companies to create t-shirts, phone cases, or mugs.
The basic idea is that the company like AliExpress is responsible for product fulfillment, shipping, and delivery so you don’t have to worry about producing the items, stocking them or delivering them. The only work that’s required on your part is to regularly sync your store with new interesting products and sending the order information to the merchant.
